Yoga and Physiotherapy
Since September 2017 we've offered yoga exercises with Juliana Šobeková.

Why yoga?
Yoga originated more than 5000 years ago in India and is one of the oldest teachings about life. In our part of the world, the term yoga evokes for most people physical exercise connected mainly with stretching shortened muscles and tendons, or possibly certain relaxation and breathing exercises.
Contemporary yoga has several streams and many forms. Its effects are not only therapeutic but also preventive in nature.
From a physiotherapy perspective, yoga exercise is one of the effective tools for achieving harmony in the human body. However, while practising it, it is necessary to approach the asanas (i.e. exercise positions in yoga) individually, with regard to the person's current condition and abilities. It is important to constantly pay attention to the safety of the exercise and follow the principles of dynamic spinal stabilization in order to prevent injuries.
Practising yoga, among other things, supports healthy physical development, reduces the undesirable effects of a sedentary lifestyle, can improve the quality of breathing, affects the internal organs, calms the mind, and last but not least also helps remove muscle imbalance.
It's never too late to start.
At our centre we'll gladly advise you on how to do it and also teach you how to practise yoga correctly. Juliana Šobeková has prepared yoga exercises for you, as well as the YOGA package.
