Daniela Strešková
I was drawn to physiotherapy by a lifelong relationship with movement and sport. Since childhood I have danced and played tennis and volleyball, which gradually grew into an interest in how the human body works, in movement and in its effect on health.
I studied physiotherapy at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Palacký University Olomouc, where I completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. While still a student, I spent two years working at a rehabilitation clinic focused mainly on paediatric patients. Working with children captured my attention, and it is an area I love to devote myself to.
In my therapy I draw on a range of approaches and exercise elements tailored to each patient’s individual needs. I like to work with elements of dynamic neuromuscular stabilisation (DNS), Pilates and strength training, combining them so that therapy is meaningful for the patient and useful in everyday life.
I have broadened my professional training with a kinesio taping course and a two-week course in the Vojta method. I see physiotherapy as a constantly evolving field, so it is important to me to keep deepening my knowledge and practical skills and to gain new insights that I can then apply when treating my patients.
